Dr. Carlisle was born and raised in Jonesoboro, AR. After graduating with a degree in Biology from Arkansas State University, he received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. While in dental school Dr. Carlisle served as the chapter president for the American Dental Education Association and received the Dean’s Leadership Award. After acquiring an interest in periodontology and implants, Dr. Carlisle went on to do his periodontal residency at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. While there, he received an extensive training on implant therapy, IV sedation, periodontal surgery techniques, and was awarded his periodontal specialty certificate and masters in oral science for his thesis research project. During his time at Iowa, Dr. Carlisle served as chief resident and was selected to serve as an AAP Foundation Student Ambassador.
After graduating, Dr. Carlisle moved back to Northeast Arkansas and worked as an associate at periodontal practices in Jonesboro and Memphis. While there he was elected to the Executive Council of the Northeast Arkanas District Dental Society and served as director for the Crowley’s Ridge Dental Study Club. In August of 2012, Dr. Carlisle found an opportunity to own his own practice. He chose Central Arkansas because of the growing communities and practice opportunities it offers.
Dr. Carlisle is a member and active in the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, Central District Dental Society, and the Pulaski County Dental Society.
Dr. Carlisle enjoys many hobbies, especially the outdoors, sports, and spending time with his wife and three children.
